Creative Exchange is a community-driven event hosted by Until Sunday Studio in Syros.
Each session, a guest brings their work into the room and shares the story behind it. Open to working creatives and anyone curious enough to come.
“An exclusive ‘happy hour’ that merges networking and inspiration within a vibrant atmosphere.”
Chiara Aliotta, Until Sunday Founder
Where it happens
Creative Exchange takes place in Hermoupolis, inside the Until Sunday Studio office. Your host is Chiara Aliotta, an Italian designer who has made Syros her home and runs the studio from here.
It is a small room for around thirty people: an evening at human scale, where the speaker and the audience sit in the same circle.
Free to attend, free to speak
Creative Exchange runs on hospitality.
Entry is free for everyone in the room, including the speaker, and the studio lays out the nibbles. There is no ticket and nothing to sell, only an evening together.
The bar next door
Plastico Gallery keeps its bar open during every Creative Exchange.
Drinks are theirs to serve and yours to buy. Take one before we begin, and stay on after the talk for the slower part of the evening, when conversations open up.
Upcoming Creative GuestMicio o Micio
Syros, Greece
SATURDAY13 June 2026 @6pm
There are artists who make work about life, and then there are those who make work from it — from the inside of hospitals, from the hands of people in pain, from the quiet truth that healing often begins with clay.
Dimitra Kalantzi is a social worker and artist whose alter ego, Micio o Micio, was born not in a studio, but in a therapeutic encounter. Since 2016, her intuitive, autobiographical ceramic practice has grown into a body of work that honours the lives of those she has walked alongside — patients, strangers, stories half-told.
Today, Dimitra continues her work in Galissas, alongside the painter and sculptor Vassilis Kavouridis, a creative and life partnership shaped by the sea, the land, and a shared commitment to expression that is honest and unhurried.
At this Creative Exchange, Micio o Micio brings ceramics, video art, narration, and collaborative storytelling into dialogue to reveal process. Her invitation is simple and profound: witness what happens when art becomes a form of acceptance.

Meet the past Creative Guests
Creative Exchange is open to creatives of every kind.
Join us in person on Syros, or live on Zoom from anywhere in the world!
Here is what we look for in a speaker.
Something real to share.
Work you have made, or a question you are still trying to answer, not theory borrowed from elsewhere.
1
A willingness to talk with the room.
This is a circle, not a stage. Expect the conversation to keep going after the talk ends, whether you are sitting in it or beaming in.
2
Honesty about how it came together.
Share the doubts and detours, not only the polished outcome. The audience will lean in for the truth, not for a pitch.
3
Voices from the room
“I came not knowing what to expect and left having made three real connections. There is no other room like this on the island.”
Eleni
"I spoke about something hard, and I felt understood. The room listened with care, and I left feeling at home in a way I had not expected."
Marina Detsch
“It is the evening of the month I do not want to miss. You leave with your head full of beautiful ideas.”
Laura
