Caravan Design contacted us to create a beautiful and elegant brochure to present Sensewear at Salone del Mobile 2015, Milan. Sensewear is their new collection of clothes and accessories that emphasises the use of senses that won Lexus Design Award 2015.
The cover of the brochure is embossed, re-proposing the pattern used in almost all Sensewear clothes. In this way we wanted to enhance the concept behind the Sensewear collection and turn the brochure into a tactile and stimulating element of its own. The cover comes in three different colours.
We used the pictures in a way that exploited the full spread. The most challenging part was to create a narrative flow between the product and its functionality, without turning the brochure into a handbook. In fact, Sensewear apparel includes laser cut perforations and tactile details that the people at Caravan Design have accurately studied to help people perform activities and stimulate the senses. We used pictures of these details, creating a playful and asymmetric layout on each page.Our clients were extremely happy with the final result.
The brochure engages with the reader on an emotional level, remaining informative and relevant.
